The Intervale Center is the homebase of the Riparian Lands Native Seed Partnership (RLNSP)—a network of organizations dedicated to native seed coordination and collection for Vermont. Together, we are working to meet the demand for source-identified native trees and shrubs for floodplain restoration projects across the state. We are collecting, cleaning and processing, and storing millions of native seeds to be planted in large-scale restoration projects.
Over the past two years, we have collected 100 million seeds from 39 different species! These seeds will grow into forests that improve water quality, store carbon, mitigate climate impacts, and provide healthy habitats for wildlife.
