Kevin McDermott, Conservation Nursery Services Technician

Kevin is returning for his third season with the conservation nursery. Before planting trees with the Intervale, Kevin studied Environmental sciences at UVM and worked in the Rubeinstein School's Carbon Dynamics Lab on a long-term study focused on monitoring northern hardwood forest regeneration. Working on the services field crew has allowed Kevin to embrace his love of the outdoors and his passion for environmental restoration, while developing skills as a naturalist, environmental steward, and data technician. When not at the nursery Kevin can be found playing basketball around town, hiking in the green mountains, and exploring all the incredible streams, rivers, and waterways so abundant in our lovely state
