Have a Heart, Pull a Weed

We’re looking for volunteers to help pull invasive species and improve the health of the land at the Intervale Center. Invasive species take resources from native plants which negatively impacts the environment. We will start the day learning a little bit about invasives and their impact on the environment. Then we will split up into groups and remove invasive species, such as common buckthorn and multiflora rose, and re-plant areas with native trees and shrubs. All volunteers are invited to a celebratory lunch from 1 - 2 PM in the Intervale Center Community Barn, complete with food from Love Local catering, drinks from Sap! Beverages, hands-on activities like make-your-own goutweed pesto, and more. This event is generously sponsored by One Tree Planted!
