Lexie combines enthusiasm for sustainability and vibrant local food systems with years of finance and operations leadership experience, in both for-profit and non-profit settings. She is thrilled to join the Intervale Center’s team and brings a high level of financial management, business administration, strategic planning, and systems thinking to the organization. Lexie’s educational background in plant biology, ecology, environmental science, and herbalism is a testament to her love for the natural world. When her head is not buried in a spreadsheet, she loves cooking, practicing yoga, spending time with her family, and gardening.

Lexie’s intelligence, kindheartedness, and leadership are just a few of the incredible qualities she is bringing to our management team.

Karen brings more than two decades of nonprofit management to our development team, having worked for environmental, social justice, and community-based organizations as well as colleges in the US and Canada.  She enjoys engaging with our donors and partners and learning more about what excites them about the Intervale Center.  Karen recognizes the importance of building a sustainable food system and is a big advocate of supporting local farms and businesses.  She holds a BA in Geography/Environmental Studies from UCLA and an MSc. in Geography focused on climate change from Concordia University in Montreal.

We are excited to introduce Karen’s warm, friendly energy to our dedicated, generous supporters and utilize her creativity and organizational skills on our development team.
