2010 Summer Thursdays at the Intervale

"The Summer of Taste" is here! Check out our blog for updates and news

5:30-8:00 p.m. July 8th - August 26th

Join us again this summer at the Calkins Community Barn for more music, fun, food, kids activities, and exciting educational programs at our historic farmstead, minutes from downtown Burlington.

For more information about Thursdays at the Intervale call Joyce Cellars at (802) 660-0440 x101.

Produce for the People will be collecting donations of fresh produce each week at the 2010 Summer Thursdays at the Intervale. Produce for the People is a local partnership campaign to ensure everyone has access to fresh, local food by collecting and dispersing surplus produce grown by home gardeners and farmers. Produce received from Thursday donations will benefit local service non-profit organizations. Please bring your donated produce to the designated Produce for the People table at 2010 Summer Thursdays at the Intervale. For more information, or to volunteer with Produce for the People visit their website.

Today’s the day to make sure you ride your bike down to the Intervale! Local business Skirack will provide free bike valet parking and free bike checks to everyone who comes on two wheels.  They’ll also be giving out stickers and other fun goodies, but the real reason they’re here is to promote safe cycling and biking as a viable means of transportation and fun.

Even more reason to ride your bike is the Fun Social Bike Ride from Skirack to the Intervale.  The ride meets at Skirack at 5:30 p.m. and everyone is welcome.  (We recommend helmet, lights and wider tires; the ride may be a mix of pavement and trail.)
