Summervale Vendor Profile: Bluebird Coffee Stop

by Joyce on July 3, 2012

Whether you’re looking to take a break from work, meet friends downtown, or find yourself craving something cool and sweet this summer, the Bluebird Coffee Stop will have something to brighten your day! This specialty coffee shop/espresso bar, located conveniently on the corner of Church and College Streets, offers an irresistible variety of food and beverages. Caffeine seekers with a conscience will find organic, Fair Trade, and Rainforest Alliance Certified coffees and hungry locavores will find breakfast and lunch fare highlighting local ingredients. For those looking to cool off, the summer menu includes creemees, iced and blended drinks, and cold-brewed iced coffee on tap.

The Bluebird Coffee Stop offers more than just more than just flavor, however. The enterprise recognizes the importance of coffee breaks as an important social function, a way to interact with others and energize or re-fuel for the day. “Coffee is among the most enjoyed beverages around the world, and with good reason,” says Tyler Van Liew, the Stop’s cafe manager. “People locally and globally are working hard to send it our way. We’re always trying to provide the best coffee experience we can, so that we might stimulate and inspire others in our community.”

Bluebird Coffee Stop’s dedication to the community extends to their presence at Summervale. Last summer, iced coffee, blueberry lemonade, iced teas, and hibiscus cooler drinks were very popular, especially on extra-hot nights. Tyler is looking forward to blueberries and honey in abundance — two excellent additions to summer drinks, and we’re excited to enjoy those ice cold beverages from Bluebird Coffee Stop at Summervale this year!
